The Sorell Free Food Program is run every Wednesday's from 5:00-5:45pm at the St Georges Church Hall Sorell (Corner of Fitzroy and Gordon St).
We provide free fresh produce, grocery items and pet food to anyone that needs it for free. There is a free BBQ or hot meal provided on the night as well.
Can't make it on Wednesday evening? We provide a limited delivery service where we delivery a food pack, direct to your door. There is no requirement to access this service, simply drop by or email [email protected] or call/text 0431 123 486.
We know that a huge amount of people in our community are doing it tough. Many people tell us of having almost no money after paying rent each week. Some parents are going without food to ensure their children are fed.
The Sorell Free Food Program aims to ensure every single household has access to enough food to enable their family to thrive.
This service is 100% funded by the generosity of the community. Over 28 individuals and local businesses donate money and/or food that supports over 70 households each week.
