  • Annual arts and music festival in Sorell - Kick off Meeting

    You are warmly invited to a to begin discussions and planning for an annual arts and music festival for Sorell.

    This is an open and inclusive session where all ideas are welcome. Whether you are an artist, musician, event organiser, business owner, community member or simply interested in seeing more cultural events in our area, we would love you to be part of the conversation.

    We will come together to explore what this festival could look like, what makes our region unique, and how we can create something that brings people together, supports local talent and celebrates our community.

    Meeting is online. An agenda and link will be sent out closer to the date.

    Please join me on Thursday June 25 at 6pm for a meet the candidate event and free BBQ at the Sorell Memorial Hall

    This is a great opportunity for me to hear your concerns and ideas, and discuss how we can improve our neighbourhoods. What I hear at these conversations will directly inform my policies in the lead up to the October election.

    I believe Council priorities should reflect the needs of residents, which is why I will be having thousands of conversations with people across the entire municipality. When residents are approached as experts in their own neighbourhoods, we achieve the best possible outcomes.

    With residents working closely with Council, I believe we can make Sorell the most transparent and trusted council in Tasmania and deliver the best possible services for ratepayers.
