Below is an update I provided to residents regarding an update on the vacant block at Heron Cresent, Midway Point.
Dear Residents,
A few residents have recently asked about the vacant land on Heron Crescent and whether there are any updates.
Sorell Council is planning to tidy up the site and develop it into a usable green space for the community. As part of this process, there are important Aboriginal heritage considerations, and Council is currently consulting with the local Aboriginal community.
Some initial discussions have taken place, but further consultation is still required before any decisions can be made.
At this stage, there is no confirmed timeline.
