I am organising a big community clean up of the Sorell Rivulet as part of Clean Up Australia Day, in collaboration with Landcare Sorell.

We will meet on March 1st from 10am to 12pm at the car park on Parsonage Place, next to the public toilets in Sorell. After a short safety briefing, we will break into small groups to collect rubbish and litter along the rivulet and nearby walking tracks. If we have enough volunteers, small teams will also head out to other areas around Sorell to help clean up.

Keeping our waterways and walking tracks clean is a simple but powerful way to lead by example and build pride in our shared spaces. Every bag of rubbish collected helps protect the environment and keeps Sorell looking its best.

Everyone is welcome to take part. All clean up equipment will be provided, but please bring your own leather gloves. You are also welcome to bring some snacks so we can enjoy a bite to eat and a chat afterwards.
