Homelands Property Sorell & Southern Beaches (who currently rents a building in the complex) has generously decided to install a notice board on the brick wall which is a great outcomes!

I have investigated options for creating a dedicated community notice board to replace the space that was previously available for public notices near the Hill St. Community notice boards are a valuable resource, especially for those who don’t use social media or email.
I spoke with the owner of the two shops (the real estate agency and the empty shopfront) about the possibility of using a section of the building wall for this purpose. After several discussions, they have decided not to allow a dedicated notice board space.
With that in mind, I looked into other possibilities and identified what appears to be Council-owned land nearby that could be suitable for a purpose-built and stand alone community notice board.
I then reached out to the community to gather ideas and feedback. I created a basic mock-up of where a standalone notice board could be installed (not an exact location - just an approx idea).
